“Bri you have got to be quiet,” Jade said. She was hanging onto the younger girl for dear life.

She wasn’t sure who gave the girl alcohol at the party, but when she found out who it was she was going to punch them in the face.

She should never have brought Bri with her to the party. She just couldn’t resist. The party was for upperclassmen, but Bri went everywhere with Jade. The younger girl was friends with all the upperclassmen so it wasn’t like she didn’t know anyone at the party.

“Do you think I should dye my hair pink?”

Jade looked at the girl and tried to picture it. “No, Babe, I don’t think you can pull that off.”

“You sure?”

“Pretty sure.”

“Fine. What about blonde?”

“You know, I like your natural brown color.”

“It is pretty nice.”

Jade laughed. “It’s gorgeous. You’re gorgeous.”

Bri smiled at her. “You’re more gorgeous.”

“I disagree.”

“Well, it’s true. I wish I looked like Jade Summers.”

Jade laughed again. “Oh Bri, your mother is so going to kill me.”

“It’s not your fault. I’m drunk because of me.”

“Well, yeah. I told you not to drink anything dummy. You sure no one slipped anything in your drink?”

“It was the jungle juice! That shit is lethal.”

Jade smiled. Bri never really cursed. She was beyond drunk.

“I love you Bri.”

Jade caught what she said but by the time she did it had already escaped her lips. She looked at Bri and the girl instantly looked completely sober.

“You what?”

“Bri, I…”

Jade thought about taking it back. But she didn’t want to. She loved her. It was the truth. She was in love with Brianna Kistler. “I do. I love you.”

Bri smiled. “I love you too.”

Jade crashed her lips against Bri’s. They stayed there for what felt like hours. Maybe it even was.

Jade started to feel raindrops hitting them, but even that wasn’t enough to separate the girls from each other.

Jade Summers and Brianna Kistler were in love.
